Brand identity for the Caxton Street Comedy Festival, running for the first time in 2024. This ID was influenced by the core values of the team at Good Chat Comedy club: beers under the Brissie Sunset. Why would you be anywhere else?
I began this project by looking at local council signage and iconography - welcome signs, street sign design, etc. I wanted to focus on the sense and pride of place. The text styles came after this - big, bold and fun, with a little nod to the 'retro' notions of my starting point, without leaning too heavily on nostalgia.
